| Résumé : | The notion of quality became a buzzword in today's debates about higher education. But despite its popularity, there are still many uncertainties and misinterpretations. In the paper the authors take look at most popular models of quality. They describe the specific features of higher education and their impacts on the use of quality models. They take a look at quality assurance models as well, and argue that due to the nature of quality, institutional quality assurance is a tool with dubious efficiency. They neither forget the role of appropriate scholarship distribution in assuring possibly optimal efficiency and quality of higher education programmes. [résumé revue] |
